The HES Series of spindles continues NSK America's product offering in the high speed and ultra-precise line of electric spindles, for which NSK America has become known.

The HES models can be coupled with various spindle tapers and utiliized in either dry or flood coolant cutting conditions. The HES spindles are integral motors/spindles.
Operating with NSK's control, there are 2 models of HES spindles. The model HES 510 is capable of reaching speeds of up to 50,000 rpm while the model HES 810 is capable of reaching speeds up to 80,000 rpm, which is ideal for the machining of carbon composite materials. The model 510 can utilize a 1/4" collet while the model 810 can use up to a 4mm collet.
End user experiences include:
Decreased electrode milling time from 5 hours to 22 minutes with increased RPM and SFM
Milling time decreased from 16 hours to under 2 in multiple pocket, hardened steel molds
2,000 holes, 5/32" deep in 7075 Aluminum reduced from 14 hours to under 1 hour!
